Core Values

We are a member congregation of the Association of Reformed Baptist Churches of America (ARBCA). In cooperation with these sister churches, we are involved in Home Missions, Foreign Missions, Theological Education (IRBS), and Publications.

Our Invitation

We warmly invite you to come and worship with us. We are a community of redeemed sinners who love Jesus Christ and one another. Here we can offer you a shelter amidst the storms of life, forgiveness and hope for those weighed down by their sins, and straightforward and thoughtful answers for those perplexed with questions. When you come, please consider staying with us for the noon fellowship meal so we can get better acquainted.

Our Mission

Our passion is to give glory to our Triune God in all that we do. We long to see God glorified in the salvation of sinners in Jesus Christ alone, by grace alone, through faith alone. To that end, we place a high priority on the Great Commission and the edification of the saints which is accomplished through the corporate use of the appointed Means of Grace – the Preaching of the Word, the Ordinances, and Prayer. We are also involved in supporting foreign missions, home missions, and church planting. Moreover, we encourage each individual member of the church to promote the gospel, according to God’s providence and their ability, through their daily lives and callings.

Our Teaching

Because God has called his church into being through His Word, His Word remains central to our identity. Therefore pulpit ministry is centered upon the exposition of the Bible. Usually a book is selected and then week by week a paragraph, verse, or chapter is explained and applied. In this way the whole counsel of God is taught to the people of God. There is also a continual emphasis on calling sinners to repentance toward God and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

Our Worship

A reverent joyfulness characterizes our worship services. We love to sing Psalms and hymns using both a hymnal and a psalter in our worship. The word of God is central in the worship at Sycamore along with prayer and the observances of the ordinances.
